This is another great example of the multi-disciplinary work an open source project benefits from. When to split up Angular components? This graph can be used if you don't really know if you should split up your component or not. The first question that we ask ourselves is: "Can we optimize change detection by splitting up?" Well if we split the component into components that can have inputs and use the ChangeDetection.OnPush Strategy, we should. "Does the component contain a form?" Forms are an excellent candidate to create components for, so we should. Are the contents of the template large? Nobody likes to read templates with more than 1000 lines of code, so we should split that up too. Is there redundant logic? Does the template hold redundant logic that we want to lose? Splitting it up might solve that problem. Now the million dollar question: "Is it pragmatic to split up". Don't split up for the sake of splitting up it has to make sense and it has improve the code. Creating a component for every single input of a form for instance, is madness. Keep it pragmatic, keep it simple. I Hope you enjoyed this small daily tip!!🚀 Let me hear your thoughts.
